Starting Point:
an assessment of project implementation difficulties

In the world of IT projects, the nightmare scenario is unfortunately common: delivery dates constantly pushed back, skyrocketing budgets, compromised profitability, or, even worse, a solution that doesn't address the initial problem. According to the Chaos Report 2020*, about 69% of IT projects fail, with failure defined as exceeding the budget, extending deadlines, and/or insufficient satisfaction once the project is delivered.

The three main difficulties encountered are:

  • Ensuring that the product truly meets the needs.
  • Controlling the costs.
  • Adapting the deadlines.

A strengthened project study phase upstream, accompanied by a complete and dedicated team, helps minimize these risks as much as possible.

Our response

Facing these challenges, we offer our project management expertise through a broad range of support and execution. We have identified several key elements to counter the main sources of failure:

  • Multidisciplinary and unified teamwork, without communication silos.
  • Studies and decision-making based on a clear vision and objectives.
  • High quality of the technical support provided.

Our strategy

Rather than providing isolated human resources, we offer comprehensive services by mission. Each project is entrusted to a complete team, including UX designers, Product Owners, developers and sysops, who are operational from day one and consist exclusively of experienced profiles accustomed to working together.

Our successive phases operation

We adopt an iterative approach, with successive phases without commitment, each accompanied by precise deliverables. These deliverables create value for the project by allowing:

  • The iterative formalization of discovered complexities, ensuring that the project can be picked up by a third party at any time.
  • The validation or invalidation of the expected profitability of the project.
  • Establishing a coherent response strategy to the needs.

    Pre-project

Introduction to the project, study of the actions to be taken and project scope (needs, stakeholders, funding, etc) with the aim of establishing an MVP* proposal.

Scoping and drafting of the plan for implementing the main features of the product.

  2. 02

    Production

    Creation/validation of UX mockups

Implementation/validation of features in agile development cycles

    Continuous deployment of new features

    Product life cycle

    Creation of training materials

    Corrective maintenance

Evolutive maintenance (through a full cycle including preliminary study phases)

MVP = Minimum Viable Product, the first version of a product that contains the minimum features required to be usable and made public.

Our development process is based on a small incremental batches approach, allowing us to deliver a testable product quickly.

We adhere to strict code and documentation quality standards. This rigor not only ensures high quality and maintainability of the product but also offers our clients the flexibility to take over the project at any time. Our standards include:

These practices are at the heart of our commitment to providing sustainable and scalable solutions, ensuring a solid foundation for the long-term success of your projects.

Why our method?

Our approach is designed to offer better visibility on project costs to decision-makers and optimize productivity during its execution. The benefits of this method are numerous and aim to:

  1. 01

Evaluate return on investment (ROI*) reliably

By allowing us to accurately measure benefits against incurred costs.

  2. 02

Avoid developments with no clear added value

Each feature is designed to bring specific added value to the project.

  3. 03

Anticipate risks and propose workaround solutions in advance

Our experience allows us to identify potential obstacles and plan ahead mitigation strategies.

  4. 04

Minimize the need for corrections at the end of the project

Thanks to our incremental approach, errors are detected and corrected as we go, thus reducing post-delivery correction costs and timelines.

  5. 05

Ensure the sustainability of the product

By developing sustainable and easily maintainable solutions for smooth evolution.

Your business expertise, combined with constant interaction with your users, enables us to ensure the successful execution of your project, from its design to its adoption. Together, we build solutions that not only meet current needs but are also ready for future challenges.

Our rates

At BIRU, transparency is a fundamental value, especially concerning our rates. We are committed to providing our clients with clear and surprise-free visibility on the costs associated with our services.

We adopt a single pricing for all our resources, providing exclusively experienced profiles. This approach allows us to ensure high service quality to all our clients while simplifying the pricing process.

How does our pricing work?

  • We start each assignment with a precise estimate of the number of person-days required for its completion. This estimate is based on a detailed analysis of your needs and the project scope.
  • The estimated number of days is then distributed among the members of the team assigned to you, ensuring optimal resource allocation throughout the project.
  • We would like to emphasize that if the number of billed days exceeds our initial estimates due to an error on our part, the additional costs will remain at our expense. This policy underscores our commitment to fair and responsible pricing.

Our goal is to provide you with a transparent and stress-free client experience, where you can be sure that your investment is managed with the highest integrity and professionalism.
